Professor Gaydon, F.R.S

AGG at The TaftThis page is a memorial to my father Professor Gaydon (known to many as Dick). He passed away on the 16th April 2004 and will be missed by all who knew him. If you were one of his colleagues, students or friends and wish to contact me please use the form at the bottom of the page.

For those who were unable to attend his funeral you may wish to read some of the information attached here as Word documents (click the links to open). Many thanks to all those who have sent letters of condolence and for sharing the memories you have of my father. I am proud to be his daughter and feel that his life made significant contributions to the world we live in.

The order of service.

A poem read at the service. I remember my father when he was seriously ill in hospital (6 years before his death), a pretty nurse smiled at him and despite his condition he gave her a beaming smile in return. A smile can pass on happiness to those around us and costs nothing!

I gave the eulogy, it contains information spanning his life.

I hope that your memories of my father are as happy as mine.
